Contribute

Contributions are welcome, but only registered users can make changes.

If you are new to MediaWiki consult the User's Guide.

Registration

It is not possible to self-register. You must ask an administrator to do so.

To request to be added to the wiki go to an administrator's "User page" where you will find instructions on how to contact them.

Changing Password

To modify your password go to Preferences (upper right) -> User profile -> Password -> Change password

Enter the new password and then click Change password button.

Admins create new users with a temporary password, remember to change it!

Admins Section

Add user

To add a user:

1. go to Special:CreateAccount
2. Enter the username the user has chosen and a sufficiently secure temporary password, then click "Create Account" button.
3. After that a page with "Account created - The user account for ChosenUsername (talk) has been created." should be displayed.
4. Edit the new user's page with "NewUser" template:
   1. Click on ChosenUsername (should open https://gretlwiki.econ.univpm.it/index.php?title=User:ChosenUsername&action=edit&redlink=1)
   2. Add the following text to the new page {{NewUser|ChosenUsername}}
5. Save the page and send the credential to the new user.

Delete user

To delete a user:

1. Check first if there is something in user's contributions to delelte.
2. Go to Special:UserMerge.
3. In "Old user (merge from)" insert the username you want to delete, in "New user (merge to)" insert DeleteUser username. DeleteUser is a special user created to this scope.
4. Check the "Delete old user" checkbox.
5. Click on Merge user.
